Up There The Last

Hello and welcome to the Up There The Last newsletter!

My name is Max Jones, writer, photographer, food producer and guide, dedicated to reconnecting myself and others to beautiful examples of long-established traditions in food production that keep us harmoniously linked to our given geographical context.

The newsletter will give you close access to some of the most wonderful examples of real food production from artisans across Europe.

Based in West Cork, Ireland, I travel and teach these methods through talks, tastings and courses reconnecting us to our inherent ability to preserve food, informed by traditional methods gleaned from immersive research over the last decade. Keep up-to-date by subscribing to the newsletter, and visit www.uptherethelast.com for more info on the project.

People

Writer, photographer, food producer and transhumance guide, I started this to create a collection of the inherently sustainable ways we used to do things that I come across on my adventures, so they do not go lost. A book is in the works.
